Read all about it…

Inspiration can be found literally anywhere… but books are always a great place to start!

Naturally as a huge interior design enthusiast, I am constantly on the look out for inspirational ideas and new ways to style.  I paw over books and magazines marking the pages of content that catch my eye… forever tabbing ‘instalove’ items.

With that being said over the last couple of years with the growing rise of e-books, I have become more selective with my purchase of actual physical hardbacks.  I do still however have a hand picked collection of well thumbed ‘coffee table’ books, that both inspire me and stay on display to inspire my guests.

Below is a hit list of my classic favourite ‘must have books’ that when not in use are proudly presented around my home.

Extraordinary Interiors by Jane Rockett and Lucy St George

RSG

This fabulous book is packed full of useful styling and colour palette advice.  Each page is beautifully presented with aspirational but achievable home interiors.  Throughout the book there is a lovely written and informative running commentary of how the owners of all the beautiful homes have achieved their finished look.

The Scandinavian Home by Niki Brantmark

Featuring a stunning curation of home photography across Scandinavia, this book is more of diary of thoughts than a styling guide.  Niki, world famous interior design blogger of ‘My Scandinavian Home’ explores light in interiors and how to make any space a happy home.  From cottages to urban apartments each image is analysed and broken down into steps of how the look has been achieved.
